Hugh Byrne, DMD graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1995. Afterwards he held a position as a faculty member here for 20 years. Over the last 25 years, he has worked in a general practice, with a specific interest in conservative adhesive dentistry. Following five years of practising dentistry in London, Hugh established a private practice in Dublin, focusing on adhesive restorative dentistry. Since 2000, he has been working part-time as a lecturer with the Department of Restorative Dentistry in the Dublin Dental and University Hospital, affiliated to Trinity College Dublin. He is co-founder of Mimétika, together with Dr. Raphael Wymann and Dr. Filip Keulemans. Mimétika provides training in advanced adhesive dentistry, aiming to bridge the gap between clinical research and clinical practice.
