Uitgebreide informatie

Master the diagnosis and treatment of cracked teeth with biomimetic restorative dentistry.

Cracked teeth are among the most complex challenges in modern restorative dentistry. Accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment planning, and predictable restorative techniques are essential to preserve natural tooth structure and achieve long-term clinical success.

This comprehensive Cracked Teeth Management course provides a step-by-step clinical workflow, guiding dentists from the initial diagnosis and crack assessment to definitive restoration and long-term maintenance. Participants will learn how to identify different crack patterns, understand current crack classifications, and determine the most appropriate treatment strategy for every clinical situation.

A strong focus is placed on biomimetic restorative dentistry, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques that strengthen weakened teeth while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible. You will gain practical insights into adhesive dentistry, indirect restorations, cusp protection, and evidence-based decision-making for cracked posterior teeth.

Through engaging lectures, real-life clinical case discussions, and hands-on training, you will develop the confidence and skills to diagnose, restore, and maintain heavily cracked teeth with predictable, long-lasting outcomes.

Leerdoelen

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply advanced diagnostic techniques, including transillumination and microscopy, for the early detection and assessment of tooth cracks.
  2. Differentiate between various crack patterns and classifications, including vertical, oblique, and horizontal cracks, and evaluate their clinical significance.
  3. Formulate evidence-based clinical decisions regarding monitoring, treatment, or referral of cracked teeth.
  4. Develop comprehensive treatment plans using biomimetic restorative principles and appropriate restorative options for cracked teeth in different tooth substrates.
  5. Evaluate the role of short-fiber reinforcement and adhesive restorative techniques in improving the long-term prognosis and maintenance of cracked teeth.
