When talking about bonded indirect restorations, protocols are actually well standardized and the literature demonstrates similar or even better success rates than conventional cemented restorations over 15Y follow up. The aim of this course is thus to focus on posterior teeth and full mouth reconstructions in daily situations, when decayed, broken or worn teeth have to be restored.
A very special care will be dedicated on the basic concepts development, that is to say on the fundamental aspects of the preparation and of the cementation procedures (isolating, using the operative microscope, cleaning the decayed tissue, bonding efficiently to various substrates, etc.). Clinical situations will be also investigated using SEM, in an attempt to understand further, what is really happening beyond the macro clinical vision…

Day 2 09:00 – 12:30 Hands-on Posterior tooth preparation for indirect adhesive restoration David will first achieve a one hour demonstration, participants will then repeat and practice the procedures 1. ultimate isolation technique for tooth preparation 2. margin elevation using direct composite 3. immediate dentin sealing 4. finishing and polishing procedure 5. temporization 12:30 – 14:00 Lunch break 14:00 – 17:30 Hands-on Onlay adhesive cementation on model David will first achieve a one hour demonstration, participants will then repeat and practice the procedures 1. ultimate isolation technique for adhesive cementation 2. composite onlay cementation using viscous pre-heated light-cured luting composite on one side and flowable light-cured luting composite on the other side 3. practice of the finishing and polishing procedures 17:30 – 18:00 Q&A and certificates

Le Dr David Gerdolle est un dentiste franco-suisse spécialisé dans la dentisterie adhésive, esthétique et biomimétique. Il est diplômé de l’université de Nancy I et a suivi plusieurs formations postuniversitaires en prothèse, en dentisterie médico-légale et en implantologie. Le Dr Gerdolle combine une expérience pratique internationale avec des années d’engagement académique en France et en Suisse. Il est membre actif d’associations professionnelles internationales et donne régulièrement des cours de dentisterie biomimétique. Depuis 2011, il dirige un cabinet privé à Montreux, en Suisse.
