Masoud Hassanzadeh

Masoud Hassanzadeh, DDS is a dedicated practitioner of biomimetic restorative dentistry and the founder of a private dental practice in Drachten, the Netherlands. Since obtaining his dental registration from ACTA (Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam) in 2018, he has focused on minimally invasive and biomimetic treatment approaches aimed at promoting healthy aging and preventing the restorative cycle that often leads to progressive tooth breakdown.

Since 2019, Masoud has pursued advanced education and clinical application of biomimetic restorative dentistry, with particular interests in microscope-enhanced dentistry, cracked tooth management, and the treatment of severely compromised dentition. He is an active author and educator who has published numerous articles in both Dutch and English on contemporary restorative techniques and innovations.

In 2023, he published Glossary of Biomimetic Restorative Dentistry. In 2024, he introduced the concept of the internal craze line, a newly identified enamel crack type, contributing a novel classification to the scientific literature. In 2025, he published The Cracked Tooth, an enhanced and comprehensive reference on crack pathology and its clinical implications.

Masoud is an international lecturer and course provider, delivering hands-on and didactic programs worldwide. His teaching focuses on cracked tooth management, biomimetic restorative dentistry, microscope dentistry, deep margin elevation (DME), biobase creation, and treatment planning for severely damaged teeth. Through his clinical work, publications, and education, he seeks to advance restorative dentistry and promote long-term tooth preservation.
